Soooo .. I’ve been spending more time alone than I like these days, clearly, and this is not a time of year to be without friends and family or the zillion pets or whatever else makes you happy. Sometimes all you have to do, though, is poke someone you know and say “hey, want to do a blog post with me?”
( There’s a larger pic on my flickr, of course! Have a peek. )
And sometimes it works! Continue reading
A horrific thing happened this morning.
Hug your family and your friends. Tell them how much you love them and recognize that your world would shatter if you lost even one of them.
Don’t wait for the holidays. Do it now.

SECOND LIFE – In a shocking turn of events early this morning, a woman was found on her building platform in a strange array of clothing. Preferring only to be known as ‘Ms Body,’ this female was found in patterned leather pants, yellow booties, and a purple shirt. When questioned, the witness asserted the following:
“I have no idea how this came together – it just sort of happened.”
Several witnesses have been questioned but two key figures, Col. Mustard and Prof. Plum, remain at large.
“It’s horrifying,” says Miss Scarlet, a well-known fashion icon and advocate of glam style. “Whoever is responsible for this must answer to the authorities!” Another witness, Mrs. Peacock, asks the perpetrator(s) to come forward as soon as possible, saying only that ” (it is) … clearly some sort of mistake.” Continue reading
This post is for me but you can read it if you like.
I was having trouble writing my post tonight when it occurred to me; images are easier than words right now. It wasn’t always the case. Three months ago, I lived in sunshine with grass and trees and butterflies. I wore yellow and white and blue. I was happier and well on my way to realizing the future I’ve always wanted for myself. I felt important, wanted, and worthy.
Logic tells me I am still all of these things but we all know how seldom thoughts and feelings align. Continue reading
Or was it the day before yesterday? Or maybe the day before that?
Suffice it to say, I have been siiiiiiick for quite a few days and, unlike my sweetheart of a sisser Cady (gorgeous new posts on her blog, btw), I have a hard time focusing on prettiness when I feel anything but.
I wanted so badly to start covering the Tomorrow Today event as soon as it was open to the public; I took these pictures on Oct 31st but .. ugh. Editing just wasn’t happening until this morning. Anyway, the event will be running through the end of November and is a fundraiser to support our very own Matchbook Monday (designer of Amorous jewelry <3).
A bit of info:
This event is to raise funds for a dental surgery procedure that will greatly improve Ms. Monday’s quality of life. The full details can be found on her blog here so please read her very moving letter and drop by the sim for your beginning-of-month shopping. Every little bit helps. Continue reading
Wow, okay! So it’s been a little while since my last post and while I doubt I should admit to spending the last four days up to my eyeballs in SWToR (chapter 1 of the smuggler storyline complete, baby! LEGACY, WOOO!), I would also like to assure you that I am back and blogging for the forseeable future. Will I sneak off to fight the Imperials, work on my Huttball record, and take my XS Freighter through perilous deep space missions? Well, yes, but not at the expense of sharing fun fashion finds with you!
We’re talking about clothes now, see? I can stop playing any time I want. Yep.
( Eee! Big empty house – check here for a slightly larger view and a special guest appearance. ❤ ) Continue reading
HG: Thursday! It can’t be! It’s too gruesome!
PV: What’s so gruesome about Thursday?
HG: Nothing, except I can never remember when it’s coming up.
AAAHHHH!!! Thursday already and nearly a week into Cinema! Can you believe it?! I had plans, so many plans, so many outfits lined up and ready to go but life just kind of takes over sometimes and it’s all we can do to keep up. But boy, I have a treat for you now – cross my heart and kiss my elbow!
So yes, I can never decide of Breakfast at Tiffany’s is my favourite movie of all time but when I have the “mean reds” there’s nothing else for me to do but pop this DVD on, close my eyes, and just listen to Audrey Hepburn’s voice for a couple of hours. I could do it right now except it’s Thursday (!!) and I have other things to do this afternoon, blah! Continue reading
