This isn’t a surprise to you, but if you answered mostly A’s in the above quiz, there’s a strong chance you’re a Dramatic Diva.
( I’m in LOVE with this picture. Check it at its full size here. )
Mostly A’s – The Daring Diva
You are the life of the party. Nothing makes you happier than to be in the middle of a crowd, doing your thing, and having a marvelous time. You’re probably a little wild (or maybe you just want to be), a little bit loud, and whether or not everyone loves your wacky antics, no one has ever accused you of being boring.
Fashion is just another form of artistic expression for you. You love bright, bold colours and none of your outfits are complete without some kind of rocking accessory.
If most of your quiz results were E’s, you’re probably a Regal Lady. 😀
( Mhmm, we’re going to flickr. Your chariot awaits, M’Lady.)
Mostly E’s – The Regal Lady
You are elite. While you may not go to the trouble of going places very often, when you do, the word “spectacular” describes your efforts to perfection. You know the best places to shop and realize that fashion is one of the most subtle forms of name dropping in the world. Not everyone speaks this silent language as well as you, but that doesn’t matter in the slightest.
You know the best places to shop. If your gown isn’t custom, you know the designer personally.
If your quiz results were mostly G’s, you’re very likey a Simple Sophisticate!
( Yep, we’re going to flickr. Hop in! )
Mostly G’s – The Simple Sophisticate
Style is a simple way of saying complicated things and you know this better than most. What sets you apart from the others is your ability to know where you’re going, what you’ll be doing, and dress accordingly. Costume party? Check. Ballroom dancing? Check. Bumming around the house in pj’s? Double check!
You are the owner of a truly magical inventory and everything you wear reflects this. You love fashion, no doubt, and everything you wear is planned before you leave your equally-gorgeous home. You have more clothes than anyone you know.
So here I am, awake at 5am and smiling after a few glasses of wine, and I’m excited to share this next post with you! This is a dress I’ve been styling for a few days but nothing was working the way I thought it should. I don’t wear much black and I’ll be the first to say that it’s my biggest challenge to work with deep, dark shades like this.
Until I realize that colour is the answer!
Check it out: shine‘s simple black sixties dress (available NOW at Designer’s Circle #42) with Cae‘s beautiful starfish jewelry set. I changed the jewelry to ‘patina’ (and THANK YOU, Cae, for having an option to change every item at the same time <3) and found a pair of blue/green ombre tights from Milk Motion. Truth‘s Cyanne hair with a greenish headband (so pretty!) and my fantastic HOC platforms round it all out perfectly. Continue reading
So the upcoming Vintage Fair is NEWS, ladies and gentlemen. You’ve seen the teasers; classic lettering in sepia and silver hues, elegant men and women in their fedoras and pillbox hats reminding us of a time when people were just that darned classy.
Sponsored by CHIC Management, the:
Vintage Fair (from Aug 4th – Aug 29th) will showcase 250+ brands each exploring inspiration from the vintage eras of 1920 – 1980. We will also this year be allowing ‘Antique’ fashions (pre 1920s). With new and exclusive items from every brand involved and music every day.
Since when were the 80’s vintage?! Is anyone else feeling their years today? I’ll get to 80’s-inspired goodness in a little while but for now, I’m ALL about the classy.
A larger image, just for you dahling. Continue reading
Party hat: check! Amazing shoes: double check! Low-lag gear: omg, super-mega check!
CHIC² is starting NOW!!!
I’ve been holding onto this picture -all day- because I’m quite proud of the way it turned out. The furniture (gorgeous!) is from POST and requires 34 prims for the full set, including the wonderful accessories shown below. “What could be better,” you ask? Well, how about this incredible Haarlem Deco set with SIX colour options?
The dress .. Bilo. Beautiful! It’s mesh and wonderfully textured – perfect for a night out or a steamy night in, wouldn’t you say? I’m also wearing Pekka lipstick (again, lol, because it’s AMAZING) for the sort of glamorous pout one wants when one is in a chic, smoky Haarlem lounge.
Sooooo .. this is turning out to be a larger undertaking than I expected. I should have probably expected it, haha, given how I LOOOOOVE to talk, but ah well. ❤
I’ll admit that I wasn’t aware of the driving force behind SL’s Culture Shock. I heard that there was a new event, thought “hey, shopping!” and I was on it like .. well. Like a girl who has too many clothes already. When I noticed the donation board I couldn’t help but smile because this is what I love most about Second Life:
The second annual “Culture Shock” event in May 2012 (May 4th – May 26th) aims to be an important event for the Secondlife fashion culture. Celebrating trends and trendsetters within our business, and incorperating music and art, all with reflections of our own personal first life cultures depicted in our creations.
The choosen charity for this event is Médecins Sans Frontières (for the second year).
184 Store spaces will be available for the showcasing of products, including a mandatory minimum of 1 new and exclusive item each – contributing 50 – 100% of their profit to charity.
“I want to go dancing,” said the first princess.
“Well, -I- favour a drink. Let’s go have cocktails,” replied the second.
“You drink too much.”
“You get us into trouble.”
