A Romp in the Park

Happy Weekend, everyone!

I have to say, I’ve been fantasizing about this trip to the park ever since coldLogic released its new line of mesh ROMPERS but between this, that, and the other thing, it’s taken me an unheard-of EIGHT DAYS to get this post together. What the heck, right?

Anyway, like every coldLogic release since the beginning of time (or, you know, this year), these rompers are flipping CUTE, stylish, and perfectly easy to wear. Idina, compulsive fatpacker that she is, and I (recently converted quantum pack queen) spent quite a bit of time co-ordinating outfits for the next few shots to give you an idea of the different styles available at coldLogic right this very minute. CHIC² ~ We Love You!

Phew, what a weekend! I am THRILLED to see that CHIC² is in full swing and still super-busy after the insanity of opening night. It’s been fantastic to see people peering into designer booths, trying the furniture or popping in to see if those Sassy models really ARE as tall as they seem. I grin every time I see another blog covering the event and celebrating incredible exclusives as well as CHIC Management‘s second birthday.

Since it’s a little much to expect my computer to run Second Life on ultra in the middle of CHIC², I thought I’d share a peek at my newest rooftop garden instead.:) I’m loving the new mesh topiaries from Trompe L’Oeil – like everything Cory Edo creates, these beautiful plants are low-prim, copy/modifiable, and just flipping INCREDIBLE and as if that wasn’t enough, they come with these perfect little stone urns too!

I have a serious obsession with cute dresses (obviously), and these offerings from tomoto (above) and Zenith (below) are no exception. While the tomoto delice dress isn’t mesh, it doesn’t need to be as it’s perfect just the way it is with sheer, gauzy prim bits, ruffles, and the cutest lace leggings peeking out from beneath the skirt. It’s available in black, aqua, pink, and (of course) white. <3 Zenith brings everything I love about mesh to the (Fluke Chic Café) table. Long and flowing with every step you take, I’m sure you’ll love the halter neck and gorgeous open back, not to mention the cute rope belt that comes with each of the three (nude, beige, and khaki) colour options.

BirthWEEKEND!

Since Thursday was my birthday and I could do whatever I wanted (Portia’s Birthday Rule #1) I went and declared a four-day holiday weekend! WOOOOO!! PARTAAAAY!!!

Now that things are (relatively) quiet around here I’m excited to put a post together to share some of my super-happy birthweekend finds.

Gosh, where do I even begin? First of all, my blog-slacker of a brother Lucky is WONDERFUL! Knowing me as well as he does, he sent me clothes for my birthday. Smart man, right? This adorable top, courtesy of coldLogic and my broface, might just be the cutest thing I’ve worn in weeks! Recognize the necklace? I can’t take it off! I was also amazed by Exile’s Secret Summer hair; I expected it to be yet another style that doesn’t work with my face but looooook! It’s so pretty.

Okay, so this is the outfit I put together for my ill-fated first-time trip to a SL strip club (hush, don’t judge – it was my birthday and I could do what I wanted) where I spent two hours crashing, letting my computer cool down, booting up, and signing back in again. Rinse. Repeat. Sigh. I love this dress, though, especially with mesh stockings, gorgeous heels, and yet another of the Lamb. new releases I canNOT live without. Is there time to gush about the new(ish) refreshed blonde shades? No? Shoot, next blog.

Ahh, Magika and Mon Tissu – my two favourite M-shops in all of SL! If I could buy their inventories in one fell swoop I would but for now, I am quite happy to add this adorable tank (boobtastic without a clothing layer beneath) and wicked-cute hair to my collection. Speaking of clothing layers beneath, I’d like to add that if you haven’t seen the intrinsic tank packs from JANE, you really should consider picking them up. They’re one of my wardrobe staples: hairbase, mesh feet, eyelashes, intrinsic tank. That is my list. Wear them. Love them. Give your rack the night off.

Look up .. waaayyyyy up! More clothing from JANE and coldLogic. And Magika. And Gos shoes (just say ”Espadrilles;” it’s almost as much fun as wearing them!). Does anybody see a pattern here? Phew, me neither.

In all seriousness, I am a huge fan of simple and fun clothing with bright colours and an overall lack of fuss – thanks to these designers, it’s easier than ever to be a fun-loving (and less-obviously free-wheeling) gal on the grid. <3

Dream, dream dream..

I’ve been in a quiet, peaceful sort of mood for the last few days and I thought I’d share a soft, sweet look I put together this morning.

I can’t stress enough how fantastic it is to drop by Collabor88 on ‘new collection day!’ Even with the lag, the glitches, and feeling as though I’m swimming through molasses, it is SUCH a joy to see what some of my favourite content creators have whipped up for the monthly ‘sample sale.’ (The 88L$ price tag doesn’t hurt either! )
